I read the first 60 pages or so of the new book I mentioned in the previous post STRUCK. I have to warn you that it is not the typical fire lookout memoir. She and her husband are posted on a lookout in the Clearwate Forest for the season but a lot of the writing is about problems growing up, problems with a stepfather who abused her, and problems with a husband.. I have stopped reading and will pass it on……as a 75 year old male — it is a little hard to relate and some of the passages are painful : ). bruce
